Fuel cells convert chemical
energy directly to electric power and heat. In a Polymer Electrolyte
Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) operated with hydrogen and oxygen, water is the
only waste product.
H2O + POWER + HEAT
Fuel cells have the potential to
replace most of today’s polluting energy converters. Their
modular nature makes them suitable for small sensors in the mW range as well
as in large power plants with a capacity of several MW. Fuel cell
technology can reduce global pollution considerably.

If the hydrogen is produced by
electrolysis of water with electricity from e.g. hydro-electric or solar sources, fuel
cells can complete a sustainable energy chain with pollution free power. Fuel
cells and hydrogen will play an important role in the future supply and
distribution of energy.
